My IT Shop has supported the Noosa community from the same location for 15+ years. We’re technology-forward, big on efficiency, and believe in doing it right the first time—fixing problems properly, not pushing replacements. We’re more than retail: our bench team repairs phones, tablets, computers, consoles and more—almost anything that can be fixed.

Who we’re hiring

• Experienced techs: If you’re already senior, you’ll start as Senior from day one.
• Earlier in your career? Juniors are encouraged to apply—we’ll train you up the right way.

What you’ll do (day to day)

• Triage & diagnose incoming phones/tablets and decide the best repair path.
• Repair & QA to a high standard (e.g., iPhone screens/batteries targeted in ~1 hour while maintaining quality).
• Communicate with customers for updates, approvals and clear expectations.
• Quote & order special parts accurately.
• Document work in our Job System (notes, parts used, photos where needed).
• Collaborate with sales to set timelines and ensure a smooth handover.

What success looks like here

• First-time-fix: ≥ 90%
• 1-hour SLA (standard iPhone screen/battery): ≥ 90%
• Parts accuracy: Correct part on first attempt; minimise RMAs/comebacks.

(Quality comes first—the time target never trumps a proper fix.)

Must-have skills

• Solid experience repairing small electronic devices (steady hands, fine motor skills).
• Confident with iPhone & Samsung screen/battery swaps and common module replacements (charge ports, cameras).
• Able to prioritise and manage a busy queue (anywhere from 5–50 devices).
• Strong autonomy—you don’t need constant supervision.
• Clear, friendly customer communication and reliable follow-through.

Nice-to-have skills

• Micro-soldering / board-level diagnostics.
• Foldables, iPads, Macs, consoles.
• Water-damage triage and no-power diagnostics.

Employment type & pay

• Casual, Permanent Part-Time, or Full-Time positions available.
• Pay up to $40/hour or $80,000pa –  based on experience and role classification.
• We’re flexible—we’ll work with you around your commitments, you don’t have to work 9-5.

Career progression

Grow with us: Junior → Senior → Lead Technician, plus opportunities to broaden into computers, consoles, management, MSP or even our Recycling arm.
